Made of natural or recycled fibres, the Kraft drum is a form of environment friendly packaging. Produced in the cardboard industry, it reuses natural and renewable forest resources.
The fibre drum is a tailor-made, ecological and totally recyclable form of packaging.
The Abzac Packaging fibre drum or Kraft drum provides industrial packaging for the preparation, transport and storage of dry, paste, semi-liquid and liquid products.
The fibre drums are strong, stackable, easy to handle mechanically, can be stored outdoors and can be customised.
Two product lines : the crimped fibre drum and the all-fibre or all-Kraft drum
The crimped fibre drumconsists of a straight wound cylindrical body in Kraft. Made from virgin fibres, the fibre drum is strong, light and corrosion-proof. It can be given a wide variety of inside and outside barrier linings chosen according to the product to be packed.
The bottom of the fibre drum in laminated Kraft is assembled by metal crimping.
The lid of the fibre drum is in laminated Kraft, metal or plastic. The chime band of the fibre drum can be made in corrosion-resistant galvanized metal with sealable handle or in plastic. (more information)
The all-fibre drum, Abzaplus consists of a 100% fibre body without any metal with a patented rolled top, a metal-free bottom, a lid in Kraft or in plastic and a closure with a tamper-proof chime band in metal or plastic. (more information)
The fibre drums or Kraft drums match the specific requirements of their content: use, image, presentation, transport, handling and destruction.

The Abzac Packaging fibre drums or kraft drums can be UNO-approved for the transport of hazardous materials.
They come in 10 main diameters and roughly 50 standard heights. The manufacturing technique of fibre drums makes it possible to produce the height, and therefore the content, required by the end-user.

Abzac devotes particular attention to the choice and quality control of the raw materials used in its fibre drums to meet its objective of total quality. Abzac benefits from its own central R&D laboratory.
Numerous quality tests on its fibre drums are carried out, including, for example:
drop tests, tests on a vibration table to simulate the constraints for the fibre drum during the transport, vertical compression, tight-sealing and waterproof tests.
